The Diversity Research Incubator: a new approach to supporting research on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Research methods in psychological science are well-suited to answering questions about how academia’s persistent lack of diversity could impact students and staff. Many psychologists are interested in these questions but are also busy with their ongoing research programs – a limitation caused by the discipline’s research culture which largely requires scientists to work independently to bring a project from conception to completion. The Diversity Research Incubator avoids this limitation by engaging the entire department to participate in research on diversity as little or as much as individuals like, at low personal cost.
