Building arrays of processors using tileable components is a novel way of achieving large scale computer systems. This work focusses upon simulating the behaviour of such systems in order to determine the feasibility of the engineering challenges involved.
The Tielable array concept has been proven feasible via a hardware prototype, and the simulator platform has been validated for accuracy against this hardware. The work confirms the feasibility of such (previously hypothetical) systems.
