Transforming Foundation Industries Research and Innovation Hub

TransFIRe is an UKRI funded (ISCF TFI challenge) proactive, interdisciplinary, inclusive research and practice driven hub with 12 research organisations based in the UK and more than 70 project partners from across the Foundation Industries (cement, glass, ceramics, paper, metals and bulk chemicals), trade associations, professional membership bodies, civic sector and government organisations. TransFIRe aims to engage the full stakeholder community in transforming the foundation industries through applied research for solutions that can be rapidly deployed within these industries. The vision is to optimise the flows of all resources within and between the foundation industries and their supply chains. improve competitiveness, work with communities in which FIs are located, support UK Net Zero 2050 targets for GHG emissions, and further equality, diversity and inclusion in FIs.
