Layman's description

Young people have been disaffected with, or displaces from, traditional demographic governance. The means of engagement may have increasingly (if not exclusively) through the creative use of the new media technologies, e.g, social networking applications can help young people to develop new civic capacities and whether and how traditional political institutions can respond to these new youth media practice.
