Abstract

Reaction of AsCl3 with 3 equivalents of (2-OPh) C6H4NH2 in toluene/NEt3, followed by metallation with 3 equivalents of (BuLi)-Li-n produces a bis(imido) organoarsenate dianion as a lithium salt which co-complexes (BuLi)-Li-n to form a dimeric cage with a 14 membered core.
