A tale of two countries: social attitudes and parents with intellectual disabilities in Iceland and England

This article seeks to understand the similar outcomes and problems encountered by parents with intellectual disabilities in two markedly contrasting countries. It concludes by stressing the importance of social attitudes within and over professional activity. It draws on the authors' own research and secondary sources.
