Abstract

This paper presents an architecture for a computer-aided process planning system that is meant to be integrated with a scheduling system. Our approach to the dynamic process planning chore is to divide the planning tasks into the two phases: static and dynamic planning. This paper discusses the overall approach and provides additional details of the implementation of the static phase. An example is used to illustrate the concepts presented.
