Abstract

[image omitted] The selective and efficient acetylation of the hemiacetal hydroxyl in the equilibrium mixture between RCl2C(OAll)OH and AllOH/RCl2CHO was achieved using the acylating system Ac2O/Et3N/dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP).
