Abstract
Working with the images of the Belgian-Senegalese artist Fabrice Monteiro, this short piece examines the Anthropocene as a crisis of care and explores ways of reimagining how the human and the more-than-human can become-with each other in more fruitful and generative ways. This is not to collapse differences in some kind of mulch (apologies to compost lovers!) but to preserve a sense of being alongside each-otherness in partial and intermittent connection connection, and in ways that
do not divide into hierarchical moral economies of division and exploitation.
