Abstract
New measurements are reported on the breakup of Mg-24 to C-12+C-12 and of Si-28 to C-12+O-16. A rich spectrum of cluster states is observed, ranging over a wide excitation energy region. These data are compared with measurements using different reactions and discussed in the context of current theoretical models.
