Abstract

In this paper, interleave-division multiple access (IDMA) combined with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems is discussed. The elementary signal estimator (ESE) and iterative interference cancellation (IIC) multiuser detection (MUD) are introduced and compared. Both methods have almost the same level of computational complexity, while the bit error rates (BER) performance of the latter is much better than the former. The simulation results show that, for multipath channel, the more channel taps, the better BER performance comparison. For the same system conditions, IIC can serve more users than ESE.
