N2 - Welcome to Critical Insights in Plant Science (CiPS), a journal founded on the principle that plant science is poised for transformative growth and discovery over these next years. Our vision is to advance current knowledge, support research outlining recent advancements via solid research, methodological advances, pre-translational studies, and applied research while shaping the future of the field via “critical insights” impacting the future development of plant science. Our editorial strategy emphasizes rigor, novelty, and the ability to connect disparate findings in ways that can propel plant science forward globally. We are welcoming manuscript submissions on a broad range of topics in plant science, ranging from genetics and genomes to biochemistry, cellular biology and plant development to ecology and environmental responses to climate change. We are enthusiastic about receiving manuscripts that spark new ideas, provoke thoughtful debate, and expand the frontiers of plant science in its many facets.
