Abstract
The nuclei Pr-32,Pr-134 have been investigated using the Mo-100(Cl-37,xn) reactions at a beam energy of 155 MeV. Gamma rays were detected with the Eurogam array. Analysis of the data has revealed the presence of two new weakly populated decoupled bands in Pr-135. One of these bands has been linked into the normal-deformed states and is thought to be built on a pi(h11/2)3 x nu(f7/2,h9/2) configuration. The second band has been interpreted as being based on a pi(h11/2)3 x nui13/2 intruder configuration within the second beta2 congruent-to 0.3 prolate minimum. The known decoupled band in 132Pr (5n reaction channel) and the highly deformed band in 130La (alpha3n) have also been extended. The structure of all of these bands is discussed together with similar bands in neighboring odd-odd nuclei.
