Abstract
This is the second in a series of reports from The Children's Society's programme of research on children's well-being, being undertaken in collaboration with the University of York.
This paper focuses on the development of a short index of children's well-being that can be used to monitor the well-being of children over time and also has potential to explore differences in well-being amongst sub-groups of children and young people.
