Differential regulation of a glucosyl transferase gene homologue during defence responses in tobacco

Abstract

The regulation of a glucosyl transferase homologue which is rapidly induced during defence responses in tobacco was investigated. Expression of the gene is induced in response to wounding and during a hypersensitive response to TMV, but regulation differs in these two responses.
