ECONOMIC-EVALUATION OF MENTAL-HEALTH-SERVICES

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The use of economic evaluation in mental health services, and in all health services, is increasingly an important factor in decision making about the use of scarce health care resources. This review examines important issues raised by economic evaluations during the past year. This includes economic evaluations of new pharmaceutical products to treat schizophrenia and depression, which have created a lively debate within health services research and developments in the economic evaluation of community care initiatives, where methodology continues to evolve.
