Abstract

At the start of 2002 the eight partners of the IST project FLOWS began an ambitious three year programme of work to study the convergence of wireless systems and especially as a multi-standards approach for the provision of mobile services. The FLOWS project is working on the appropriate techniques to enable such convergence at the user's terminal. This paper provides an overview of the project, its vision, the activities and expected results.
