Homelessness, health and housing: joining up services: Blog for the Kings Fund

Research output: Other contribution

Abstract

In 1996, I co-authored a report for The King’s Fund called Health and Homelessness in London. Along with Joanne Bretherton at the Centre for Housing Policy at the University of York, I have just collaborated with The King’s Fund again, on a new report: Delivering health and care for people who sleep rough: going above and beyond. Although nearly a quarter of a century apart, both these reports focus on the same problem: the reasons why people who are homeless can experience access to NHS services that is poor, disorganised or non-existent, when free, universal health care is supposed to be available for anyone.
