Abstract
We propose a cooperative spatial multiplexing system, which by utilizing the Slepian Wolf theorem, is able to increase the spectral efficiency but still maintain the diversity. We study the system from the information theory point of view and point out several features, which are common in cooperative systems, and have the potential for further system performance enhancement. The advantages of our system are verified by simulations.
