Abstract

The Incapacity Benefit (IB) reforms were introduced in October 2003 and aim to increase the number of incapacity benefit recipients who move towards and into paid work. The package of measures within the reforms is being piloted in seven areas of England, Scotland and Wales. This report presents findings from the second cohort of a longitudinal qualitative study of the views and experiences of incapacity benefit recipients who have taken part in the Pilot.
