Inclusive teaching in mathematics

Having been involved in conducting four systematic reviews of the literature on aspects of teaching and learning mathematics in schools, there appears to be one over-riding theme that has emerged for me concerning the implications of these reviews for classroom practice. This is the need for ‘inclusive teaching’. In this article I will address five issues concerning inclusive teaching in mathematics that have arisen from the review reports.
