Abstract

A soundtrack album for David Hickman's ITV Survival film 'Madagascar: Island of Ghosts', featuring the original compositions of Malagasy multi-instrumentalist Rossy. The album has been a source for the soundtrack of an episode of the hit TV show The West Wing, and two tracks from the album have been covered by the classical guitarist John Williams on his album of African music, The Magic Box (2001). The album was released by Peter Gabriel's label Real World records, which has sought to promote world music to a wide audience.
