Laboratory data for cool star modelling

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

Recent laboratory work on water, methane and metal hydrides for simulation of spectral energy distributions of cool astronomical objects is reviewed. These molecules are found in sunspots, cool stellar atmospheres and in brown dwarfs. The calculation of opacities is discussed for CrH, FeH and TiH. New spectra of the Violet System of CN and the Swan System Of C-2 have also been analyzed.
