Abstract
Using an alternating gradient force magnetometer, remanence curves have been recorded from a single aggregate of a commercial ink used in magnetic particle inspection. The aggregates were typically 100x30x30 μm3 size. Analysis of the isothermal and demagnetization remanence magnetization shows that inter-particle interactions within the aggregates act always to lower the magnetization of the aggregate.
