Abstract

Because palaeopathology has to call on a limited range of evidence, compared with modern clinical diagnosis, it is important that a differential diagnosis should be broad-based. A prehistoric case from Indiana is discussed in relation to this statement. Copyright (C) 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
