Abstract
We consider the performance of Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex as a means of transmitting multimedia information on personal communication channels, modelled using the COST 207 power-delay profiles. We find analytical expressions for the interference terms due to multipath dispersion and conclude that, for the optimum choice of code and guard interval, data rates of 3.5 Mbit/s or more are achievable, even on the Bad Urban channel.
