Abstract
Dimeric iridium(III) luminophores with tetraacetylethane bridges lead to liquid-crystalline materials with very high photoluminescence quantum yields. The same design principle allows for the preparation of heteronuclear iridium(III)-platinum(II) dyads, which are also luminescent.
