Abstract
A one-hour documentary retracing the route of the Burma railway, now mostly overgrown by jungle. Amidst the remains, US engineer Bashar Altabba assesses the awful odds against the prisoner builders of the railway. He also encounters one of the Japanese engineers of the railway. The film tells the story through survivor accounts among British POWs. Produced, directed and written by David Hickman (also: additional photography).
