Abstract
This paper examines the risk sources, profile and drivers affecting Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM). A case study in the beverage industry within the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector in Malaysia included: qualitative semi-structured interviews, an email questionnaire and secondary data collection. Lack of commitment and collaboration among supply chain members are identified as main risk sources. The SCRM strategies are identified as: outsourcing to co-packers, keeping extra inventory, practice logistics partners and back up suppliers. A bottom-up management approach to enhance communication across the supply chain is recommended for better risk management and further improvement of supply chain performance.
