Abstract

Two theoretical papers have suggested the existence of an O-16+O-16+O-16 configuration in Cr-48. We report on three experimental searches for the ternary breakup of Cr-48 to the O-16+O-16+O-16 channel. No evidence is seen for the process. Upper limits for the cross section are reported.
