Abstract

An exhibition of musical items from the York Minster Library collections displayed at the Old Palace, curated and presented with colleagues from York Minster Library and Vivien Ellis. Particular focus included James Kendrew's The Cries of York (c1810), ballads from the Hailstone Collection and Thomas Gent's Commonplace Book (c1743). Content and accompanying texts linked to the Ballads and Cries of York walking tour, VR experience and the workshop Let's Sing!
