Abstract
A new measurement of the C-12(Mg-24, C-12 C-12)C-12 breakup reaction has been performed at Daresbury Laboratory. Sequential breakup is seen to occur from specific states in Mg-24 at excitation energies ranging from 20 to 26MeV. Spin information has been obtained for a number of these states using angular correlation techniques, these measurements indicate that states with spins ranging from J = 4 to 8 are populated.
