Abstract
The statistics of the fields scattered by nonlinear equipment in a reverberation chamber am investigated using both a Monte-Carlo simulation of a simple statistical model and measurements of real equipment. The probability distributions of the scattered fields of the second and third harmonic are predicted and compared to measurement. The implications of the results for the immunity assessment of digital hardware and harmonic cross-section measurements in reverberation chambers are discussed.
