N2 - In the Chinese automobile market, which is full of intense competition, AMFs (automobile manufacturing firms) and their SDNs (supply-demand networks) are under the double-pressure of improving customer satisfaction and cutting costs. The appearance of 3PL and 4PL provides new cost improvement tools and a profit increasing point for the automobile industry. Nevertheless, the enterprises' relationship which embodies competition is greater than any cooperation. The competition is overwhelming, not only between competitors, but among other member enterprises in the same supply chain. On the basis of systematic investigation of several AMFs and their supply chains, this paper will analyze the restrictive factors of logistics integration for the Chinese automobile industry. Meanwhile, it advances an interim integrated plan for adapting the current developing situation using the collaborative operational methods such as informational integration, resources integration, direct delivery, cross-transport postponed production, etc. This plan is an effective guarantee for the normal operation of the procurement system of the complete automobile assembly and the fittings for after-sales services. Moreover, it will provide abundant support of the logistics system to realize standardization, individualization, modularization and a platform for automobile products and their components and parts.
