Abstract
The growing integration of emerging economies into the global economy has profound implications for the strategies and operations of both developed multinational enterprises (DMNEs) and emerging market MNEs (EMNEs). In this context, this volume aims to offer some insights at the new balance in international business, namely the rising power of EMNEs, the need for novel approaches by DMNEs to retain competitive advantages and the co-evolutionary process in which MNEs interact with external environments to produce forces driving significant changes to the global economy.
