Abstract

This chapter examines the relationship between women’s homelessness and domestic violence. It focuses specifically on violence experienced by women in the domestic sphere—that is, in their homes—perpetrated by an intimate male partner. Women who experience homelessness may encounter and become victims or survivors of violence, abuse and/or exploitation in other settings including, for example, on the street or in homeless service settings dominated by men
