Abstract

An economic approach for implementing X-{H-1, F-19} double-decoupling MAS NMR experiments with a conventional X-{H-1} dual-channel CP MAS probe is demonstrated. The parameters characterising the isolated Si-29-F-19 spin pair in an organosilicon compound R3SiF (R = 9-anthryl) are determined. In addition, we discuss the optimum choice of experimental parameters for determining all Si-29-F-19 spin-pair parameters from straightforward Si-29 MAS NMR spectra with only H-1 decoupling applied during acquisition.
