Greg Tallents' current research interests centre on the effects of high plasma  density on spectroscopy and the interaction of extreme ultra-violet lasers with solid targets.  He has produced a textbook linking undergraduate level atomic and radiation physics with the advanced material required for postgraduate study and research [Tallents, G.
